All Saints’ Episcopal Church, resplendent in holiday greenery, was the site of two highly-successful performances December 12 & 13, 2008 in midtown Atlanta. Phos Hilaron anchored the D.L. Dykes Foundation weekend that also featured a daylong seminar with Marcus Borg and John Dominic Crossan.

The Georgia Tech Chamber Choir directed by Jerry Ulrich provided their annual holiday concert as part of Phos Hilaron. Because of all the equipment and seating implications, the singers were positioned behind the video screen in the choir loft where they could observe the show’s progress (albeit in reverse) hidden from the audience. Quite a surprise when they emerged to appear for their curtain call at the conclusion of the show!

Free Planet Radio’s River Guerguerian and Chris Rosser performed directly underneath and in front of the screen, bringing their signature sound to the fore. The acoustics of All Saints’ and the excitement of delivering Phos Hilaron to the city at the height of the holiday season made for a memorable set of performances.
